Tanger Outlets, the discount retail chain  started in 1981, is one the largest retail conglomerates in the United States with over 30 centers nationwide.  The brand, founded on providing discount options to shoppers, favors an open air approach when building its centers. In 2008, Tanger Outlets opened up a facility at the Arches in Deer Park to provide its unique shopping experience to a greater audience in Long Island. ABCO Peerless installed fire protection systems in over 800,000 square feet of retail and mixed use space, coordinating with more than 100 stores and their corresponding designs. The Tuscan village feel of the center is upscale, yet easy to navigate, making it a mainstay for the population of Long Island for many years to come.
